RETAIL TREND | Ecofriendly Magnetic Panel Alternatives

While doing store walks in Soho NYC over the weekend, I noticed Magnetic Panels were everywhere.

From outdoor easels to wrapping fixtures, even being used as add on promotions. With most fixtures being receptive to magnetic panels it’s become an easy and stunning way to transition graphics. Unfortunately with Magnetic Panels there is a higher price tag and they are not ecofriendly. Currently there is no quick way to backend recycle these graphics post use.

Alternatively, our team has concepted a few ways to work around the use of Magnetic Panels. Let’s use the current Marc Jacobs Display at Bloomingdale's as an example.

• The backdrop for the bags is a full Magnetic Panel that wraps around the existing L Shaped Backer. This could be substituted for an ecofriendly full printable rigid board. It would ship flat and be fully recyclable post use.

• The Fixtures could also be substituted for Corrugate Risers. Our risers have a max weight of 150 lbs., fully printable, ship flat with easy instructions for assembly and have end of life instructions for blue bin recycling.

• The smaller tray could be created with a paper-based alternative.

This campaign would likely have costs saving benefits from using ecofriendly alternatives.
